We sent a couple of emails about our rebrand to Helply over the past few weeks. A lot of you wrote back with one big question: what does this Helply thing actually mean for me?
The short answer is nothing.
Your account, your data, your pricing, your team, your workflows. All exactly as they were last month. No migration coming. No price change coming. No "we regret to inform you" email arriving in six months.
If that's all you needed to hear, you can stop reading and get back to your day. Bookmark your login at yourcompany.groovehq.com and you're set.
If you want to understand what's actually going on with the brand and the structure, keep reading.
What's actually happening
Helply is now the master brand for the company. Underneath it sit two products.
Groove Classic is what you've been using all along. The shared inbox, the helpdesk, the knowledge base, the integrations, the reporting. The product 2,000+ companies have been running their support on for over a decade. We kept the Groove name under the Helply umbrella. The product itself isn't changing for Classic users.
Helply is the AI-first support platform we've been building over the past year, sold only to B2B software companies that want outcome-based pricing instead of seats. Different buyer, different product, different sales motion. If you fit that profile and it sounds useful, great. If you don't, you can ignore it and keep doing what you're doing.
Both products are built by the same company, both have dedicated teams behind them, and both are getting better every week.
Why we did this
Two products, one company, one master brand. That's the whole reason.
We weren't going to keep maintaining two completely separate brands when both products are built by the same engineering org, supported by the same team, and share a roadmap philosophy. Helply pulls everything under one roof. Groove Classic keeps its name because that name means something to the customers who've been with us for years.
What this means for you in plain language
If you're a Groove customer today, you are now a Groove Classic customer. Your login still works. Your bill still looks the same. Your team still gets the same support. The product still does what it did yesterday.
That's it. That's the whole story.
One last thing.
If you've been worried about what this rebrand means, I understand. There's a long history of B2B SaaS products that got rebranded right before they got quietly killed. This isn't one of those.
Groove Classic has 2,000+ customers, a dedicated team, and an active roadmap. We're going to keep showing up.
Thanks for being a customer.
Alex, Founder, Helply
No. Groove Classic is an active product with a dedicated team building, supporting, and improving it. We have no plans to discontinue it.
No. Your current plan, your current rate, and your current renewal terms all stay exactly as they are. Annual plans renew at the same price. Monthly plans stay monthly at the same price.
No. There is no migration. Groove Classic is the product you've been using and the product you'll keep using. Helply is a separate product you can opt into if it ever makes sense for your business, but nobody is forcing or nudging existing customers in that direction.
One note worth adding: Helply is built specifically for B2B software companies. If that's not the kind of business you run, it isn't a fit for you anyway.
Same place as always: yourcompany.groovehq.com. That URL works today, will work tomorrow, and will keep working. If you ever land on helply.com by mistake, click Login and you'll see a "Groove Classic customer? Sign in here" link.
groovehq.com now redirects to helply.com. Your login subdomain (yourcompany.groovehq.com) is unaffected and stays exactly as it is.
Yes. Inboxes, conversations, ticket history, users, team roles, assignments, custom fields, instant replies, macros, tags, saved views, rules, automations, reporting, knowledge base connections, integrations. All of it. Untouched. Nothing is being moved, exported, re-imported, or reformatted.
Yes. A dedicated team. Same product leadership, same support staff, ongoing engineering investment. We are not running it on autopilot, and we are not "winding it down" quietly behind the scenes.
Groove Classic is a traditional helpdesk built for teams that want a great shared inbox, knowledge base, and reporting at a predictable seat-based price. Helply is an AI-first platform sold only to B2B software companies that want to pay for successful AI outcomes and run support with a smaller human team. Different problem, different buyer, different pricing model.
No. If you have InstantDocs included with your Groove plan, it stays included. Your knowledge bases, custom domains, branding, access controls, analytics, and AI credits remain as they are.
Yes. Any prepaid annual plan you have, on Groove Classic or on Helply, runs through its full term exactly as agreed. We are not breaking contracts and we are not moving anyone onto a new pricing model mid-term.
No. Groove Classic does not require AI for anything. Use it the same way you've always used it.
Yes, if you run a B2B software business. That's the only category we sell Helply to. If outcome-based pricing and AI-first workflows become a fit for you at some point, we can have that conversation. There is no deadline, no pressure, and no scheduled push.
Same support email you've always used. Or reply to this post. Or reach out to your account contact directly. Nothing has changed about how to get help.
